Biography
Scott is a very accomplished and seasoned investor with deep operations expertise in Healthcare and Education sectors. He is known for his prolific contributions to game changing, impact investing strategies.
Scott is currently the Chief Financial Officer & Director, Corporate Development for George Health Enterprises, the company that holds George Clinical. Scott was formerly the Global Health Sector Lead and a Principal Investment Officer for the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. During his time at IFC, Scott led numerous game changing and IFC’s Strategy defining transactions in the health and education sectors in Africa, MENA, South/East Asia, and Europe and founded the World Bank’s Health in Africa initiative. He also established global connects and drove a multiplier value creation effect through his investments. He has previously lectured in finance at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
He is a currently a Board Member of George Health Enterprises, Australia-based CRO, pharmaceutical, and health technology company with a focus in emerging markets; and Luminus — a Jordanian vocational education company with MENA operations.
Scott’s early career was in engineering and finance. He worked for a global property and project management firm before joining the finance advisory practice of a “Big 4” global consulting firm. He holds Masters degrees from Johns Hopkins, SAIS and University of Sydney in international affairs, Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Engineering Science from University of Melbourne and engineering science.
